A man drove his car into a wall at the Division of Motor Vehicles building in Anchorage, Alaska, last week.
He then walked in and renewed his driver's licence.
Police believe the man was driving while impaired on medication and charged him with driving under the influence.
No one was injured as the man mounted the footpath and ploughed into a side wall of the building.
No one in the public area of the building noticed the accident, and by the time police arrived the man had paid $20 and renewed his licence.
